Spring concert: The Contempora­ry Music Ministry of St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, 27993 Detroit Road in Westlake, will host the 13th annual Spring Concert from 7 to 9 p.m., May 12. This year the concert and worship experience is entitled, “Jesus Is My Rescuer” and features the music of Rend Collective, Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, Matt Maher, Crowder, Sidewalk Prophets and more. Clothing ministry: Upon This Rock Church is hosting a clothing ministry from 1 to 3 p.m., April 28, at 1790 Reid Ave. in Lorain. It is open to all while donations last. Casino trip: St. Mary Church Lorain is sponsoring a casino bus trip to Greektown on May 1. The cost is $35 and with a $20 incentive . For reservatio­ns, contact Heidi at 245-1980. Bible and Brew: Bible and Brew, a casual conversati­on about God, faith and scripture will meet weekly at 7:30 p.m., on Thursdays at Forts Tavern, 122 W. Herrick, Wellington. This event is presented by Wellington First United Methodist Church. Everyone is welcome. Messy Church: First United Methodist Church of Wellington, 127 Park Place, is introducin­g a hands-on, interactiv­e way to worship as a family, involving story, prayer, song, games and a sit-down meal together at tables from 4 to 6 p.m. May 6. People of all ages, adults and children are welcome. Messy Church is the first Sunday of each Month. Everyone is welcome. National Prayer Day: First United Methodist Church of Wellington, 127 Park Place, Wellington, is hosting prayer services at noon May 3, the National Day of Prayer. The service will take place in the gazebo in front of the church at Noon. Everyone is invited to join us. Freedom Display: First Community Interfaith Institute of Ohio (FCII of Ohio) will host the 39th annual Freedom Display— The Road is Paved with Promises, at 12:30 p.m., April 29, at Kanisa House II, 142 Cleveland St., Elyria. The 39th annual Freedom Display will have a complex look at the correlatio­n between racism and hate. The presentati­on will study the victims of hate and racism and look at all the pretense of those who make promises only to be looking for more victims. Those wishing to attend must call of an invitation and provide the name(s) of the persons who would like to attend. Call Dana Burns at 440-366-3244. Seating is limited. All are welcome. Paprikash dinner: St. Mary Church, 309 W. 7th St., Lorain, will host a homemade chicken Paprikash dinner after 4:30 p.m. Mass. Dinners are $10 each.
