- By Zachary Srnis

Cambria Suites has enjoyed its time in Avon and looks to continue to provide quality services to the community.

The hotel, a subsidiary of Choice Hotels which includes Comfort Inn, Sleep Inn, and Quality Inn, opened its doors to its Avon location at 35600 Detroit Road in 2014.

“The community has been awesome and very supportive of the hotel,” said Trisha Mullaney director of sales for Cambria Suites Avon. “We have been doing good business here and look forward to that continuing.”

Mullaney said Cambria is more of an up-scale hotel under the Choice Hotels umbrella.

“It’s more than what you would think of with a typical hotel,” she said. “Its is more luxurious and is optimized for a wide spectrum of comfort and services.”

Mullaney said the hotel has plenty of services geared toward business travelers.

“We have over 33,000 square feet of meeting space,” she said. “Your work can be done here effortlessly and conveniently.”

Mullaney said the hotel also pulls its own weight in the food department.

“We offer full-service breakfasts for our guests,” she said. “We also have onsite catering to support the size of your group. We also have a bar in the main lounge as well as full wet bars in our suites.”

Mullaney said there is also an emphasis on modernization. “The rooms have modern furniture and designs,” she said. “They also come equipped with plush bedding and bathrooms that have a spa style.”

Mullaney said Cambria offers a variety of rooms.

“We have both one-bedroom, single-room, and two-bedroom suites,” she said. “We also have the option of tower, basic, and whirlpool bathrooms. The room options are plentiful, because we know the style and preferences vary from guest to guest.”

Mullaney said the hotel works hand in hand with the recent increase in Avon businesses.

“I’ve been here for a short time, but I have seen the benefit of being in a city where more businesses are being added,” she said . “The goal for us is to provide the destination for travelers to want to stay as they come in from out of town. I’m glad we have been able to play off of the success of Avon and keep the out-of-town guests in the city overnight.”

Mullaney said Cambria also has rooms that are handicapped accessible.

“We have seven rooms in the hotel for the handicapped and vision impaired,”she said. “We have convenient braille writing for the vision impaired and easily accessible tubs for those who are handicapped.”

Mullaney credited ownership for the transition into her current role as director of sales.

“Ownership has been great throughout the entire process of getting me established here in Avon,” she said. “They know how
