Elyria resident named to dean’s list

Lily Simmons, a junior Journalism and Mass Communicat­ion major of Elyria, was among over 800 Bob Jones University students named to the Spring 2018 Dean’s List.

The Dean’s List recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade point average during the semester.

Located in Greenville, South Carolina, Bob Jones University provides an outstandin­g regionally accredited Christian liberal arts education.

Findlay students earn degrees

More than 730 graduates were recognized for earning doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s or associate degrees from the University of Findlay for the academic year 2017-2018. Local students include: • Lauren Ackerman of New Washington, received the following: Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. Ackerman graduated from the University with the academic designatio­n of cum laude.

• Aaron Baker of Vermilion, received the following: Bachelor of Science in Biology. Baker graduated from the University with the academic designatio­n of magna cum laude.

•Amanda Baker of Huron, received the following: Bachelor of Science in Animal Science.

• Jacob Barnes of Norwalk, received the following: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

• Brendan Cannon of Avon, received the following: Doctor of Pharmacy.

• Jessica Caudill of Vermilion, received the following: Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science.

• Raechel Clemons of North Fairfield, received the following: Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Clemons graduated from the University with the academic designatio­n of summa cum laude.
