Whitney Road Bridge to close for repairs

Lorain County Engineer Ken Carney announced the immediate closure of the Whitney Road Bridge in Pittsfield Township on July 11, according to a news release.

The bridge, located between Hawley Road and state Route 58, is closed for needed repairs to the existing structure, according to the release. It is expected to remain closed until around Oct. 30.

Detour signs have been posted.
