North Ridgeville man hurt in rollover crash
A 37-year-old North Ridgeville man was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland in critical condition following a rollover crash July 11 in Amherst.
Ohio Highway Patrol Trooper Lance Deshuk, who is assigned to the Elyria Post, said at 3:43 p.m. the victim, who was operating a 2000 Volvo, was traveling south on West Ridge Road when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road in the 7000 block, striking some brush and a tree before overturning.
The victim was transported by ambulance to UH Amherst before being flown by medical helicopter to MetroHealth, authorities said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Deshuk said.
OHP was assisted on scene by the Amherst Fire Department, Lorain County Sheriff’s Office, LifeCare Ambulance Service and the Elyria Police Department.
