Police Department hiring
The Sheffield Lake Police Department is looking to hire a patrol officer and a dispatcher, according to police Chief Tony Campo.
The Police Department is offering a competitive examination for a full time patrol position Aug. 5 at Cuyahoga Community College’s Western Campus in Parma.
Registration must be returned by 4 p.m., Aug. 3.

Interested applicants are asked to download the online packet and return it to Cuyahoga Community College.
The registration fee is $180 for the physical agility exam, written cognitive assessment and pre-screen psychological assessment.
The test will be administered at Cuyahoga Community College’s Western Campus, 11000 W. Pleasant Valley Road, PSTC Building, suite 221.

Campo added the Police Department will hire a full time dispatcher.
It is seeking candidates with dispatch experience.
Candidates must be able to deal with the public by phone and in person.
In addition, experience utilizing the state LEADS system is preferred, but not required.
