• Bobby Bradley’s single to right field with the bases loaded in the 10th inning scored two runs and made Triple-A Columbus a walk-off winner against Louisville, 5-4.

The Clippers (57-54) trailed, 4-3, headed into the home 10th after C.J. McElroy’s RBI double.

Greg Allen’s two-run double in the ninth forced extra innings when Columbus entered its final at-bat trailing, 3-1.

• Double-A Akron outlasted host Altoona, 9-8. The win extended first-place Akron’s lead to five games over the second-place Curve in the Eastern League’s Western division.

The Rubber Ducks (66-46) scored twice in their first at-bat and led, 7-5, after a five-run fifth. They added two runs in the sixth as the Curve sliced Akron’s lead to one, but couldn’t overcome their deficit.

Connor Marabell went 2-for-4, tripled and drove in three runs. Nellie Rodriguez doubled and drove in a pair of runs.

Dominic DeMasi (8-2) pitched a scoreless inning in relief of Sean Brady to earn a victory. Rob Kaminsky retired the game’s final two batters to pick up his second save.

• High-A Lynchburg split a doublehead­er against Buies Creek.

The Hillcats (52-56) defeated the Astros, 7-1, in the makeup of a game postponed from Aug. 3. Nolan Jones hit a threerun home run, his first home run with the club, and Mayfield graduate Mitch Longo doubled. LiJen Chu added three RBI.

Buies Creek scored four runs in the fifth to pull away from Lynchburg in the nightcap. Three Astros hit home runs in their 6-2 victory.

• Andre Jackson pitched six shutout innings and Brock Carpenter drove in two runs to lift Great Lakes over Low-A Lake County, 4-1.

The Captains (46-65) were held to a run and five hits. They did not score until the ninth inning when Oscar Gonzalez came home as Jonathan Laureano grounded into a double play.

Captains starter Jean Carlos Mejia allowed three runs and six hits in 6 2⁄3 innings. Mejia (3-5) struck out five and walked three.

• Short-season Mahoning Valley scored five runs in the seventh inning to break open a one-run game and defeat host Batavia, 7-6.

Hosea Nelson’s two-run double sparked the big inning and Mahoning Valley capitalize­d on a few missed plays to take a 7-1 lead.
