• Despite taking an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, Triple-A Columbus lost, 5-1, to Toledo after being held scoreless the rest of the way. The Mud Hens scored three runs in the home half of the first inning and two in the third but were out-hit by the Clippers, 8-6. Bobby Bradley went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Adam Rosales when 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored for Columbus. Myles Jaye was charged with the loss, giving up five runs off four hits and two walks in three innings. He struck out three.

• Double-A Akron took the lead in the second inning and held on to beat Harrisburg, 6-2. The RubberDuck­s went down, 1-0, in the opening half inning before adding a pair of runs in the second and three more in the third. Andrew Calica and Li-Jen Chu each hit a home run and Nellie Rodriguez had a double. Calica went 3-for-4 on the night. Jake Paulson (8-5) got the win in seven innings, allowing two runs off six hits while striking out five. R.C. Orlan earned the save.

• Matthew Crownover threw a no-hitter and Potomac beat Single-A Lynchburg, 7-0. Crownover had three strikeouts and three walks over nine innings and the Nationals added 11 hits including five doubles. Zach Piesac was charged with the loss. He allowed three runs (two earned) off six hits and a walk in six innings of work and totaled eight strikeouts.

• Single-A Lake County was out-hit, 15-2, and the Captains lost, 7-1, to Bowling Green. The Hot Rods scored five runs in the third inning and added a pair of insurance runs in the fifth. Of the Captains two hits, both were doubles including one from Jose Vincente and Josh Rolette. Jean Carlos Mejia took the loss, allowing seven runs off 12 hits in four innings while striking out four. Alex Valverde got the win for Bowling Green and Paul Campbell earned a save.

• West Virginia scored three runs in the ninth inning to beat Single-A Short-Season Mahoning Valley, 7-6. The Scrappers took a 6-4 lead to the ninth before Luis Santos gave up a three-run home run to Brett Kinneman with two outs. Three players had multi-hit games for Mahoning Valley including Clark Scolamiero who went 4-for-4 with a double and three RBI, Jose Fermin who went 3-for-5 and Simeon Lucas who went 2-for-3. The Scrappers had 15 total hits.

• The DSL Indians scored five runs in the fourth inning to beat the DSL Rays 2, 8-4. Amador Arias had a two-run home run and Edgardo Rodriguez had a double among the DSL Indians’ 13 hits. Luis Sanchez earned the win in relief, throwing two scoreless innings and allowing one hit while striking out three.
