Rosary of the Unborn: All faiths and all nations are invited to pray the Rosary of the Unborn with at St. Anthony of Padua Church, in the Eucharistic Chapel at 1305 E. Erie Ave., Lorain, Sept. 1. Rosaries are prayed the first Saturday of every month, every half hour, on the hour, from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. for an end to abortion within our nation and throughout the world. (The last rosary is said at 3:30, prayed in St. Anthony Church, not in the Eucharistic Chapel, just before 4:00 p.m. Mass). For more information, contact Dr. Hilaire Tavenner at 440) 288-0416. Associated pastor to speak: Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Nelson, associate pastor of Third New Hope Baptist Church in Detroit, will present “Women Shaped by the hand of God,” and Scripture: Jeremiah 18:6 at 3 p.m. Sept. 9 at Bethany Baptist Church, 334 17th St., Elyria. It is open to the public. Bible series to begin: All are invited to a Bible study program entitled “Mary: A Biblical Walk with the Blessed Mother.” It occurs at St. Peter Catholic Church, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The series takes place on Tuesdays, Sept. 18 to Nov. 6, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Program includes light dinner, video presentation and discussion. Fall Fest: A Fall Fest will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church, 1500 Lincoln Blvd., Lorain. Catholic Golden Agers to meet: The Amherst Catholic Golden Agers will meet Sept. 19 at St. Joseph’s Social Hall. The menu and program will be provided by Amherst Manor.
