• Host Wittenberg scored 42 unanswered points to rout Oberlin (1-2, 1-1 NCA), 45-14. Zach Taylor threw for 170 yards and rushed for a touchdown for the Yeomen.

• Trace McSorley accounted for five touchdowns and broke No. 11 Penn State’s record for rushing scores by a quarterbac­k in a 6310 victory over Kent State (1-2).

• Malik Rosier threw for two touchdowns and ran for three more to help visiting No. 21Miami (Fla.) beat Toledo. The Hurricanes (2-1) never trailed and led, 21-0, late in the first half, but Toledo (11) twice pulled within a touchdown.

• Virginia (2-1) defeated Ohio, 45-31, in a game played in Nashville, Tenn., after it was moved because of Hurricane Florence. Virginia’s Jordan Ellis rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns in the first half.

• Zack Annexstad completed 12 of 20 throws for 142 yards and two short touchdowns to Tyler Johnson in his third collegiate start, and host Minnesota (3-0) beat Miami (Ohio), 26-3.

• Jarret Doege threw four touchdown passes and host Bowling Green (1-2) beat Eastern Kentucky (1-2), 42-35.

• D’Angelo Fulford threw for a career-high 364 yards and tossed five touchdowns as visiting Mount Union spoiled Baldwin Wallace’ homecoming, 56-21, at Finnie Stadium in Berea.

• Anthony Moeglin (20 of 28 passing, 182 yards, TD pass, intercepti­on) guided an efficient offensive attack that totaled 345 yards, running backs Michael Canganelli and Sam Kukura each rushed for touchdowns, and a gadget play jump started by Mentor grad Jake Floriea resulted in another TD as John Carroll routed Otterbein, 45-0.

• Cole Tracy kicked a 42yard field goal on the final play to give No. 12 LSU a 22-21 victory over No. 7 Auburn in their Southeaste­rn Conference opener. Joe Burrow led LSU (3-0) down the field in the final minutes with clutch plays and two pass interferen­ce calls against Auburn (2-1). That set up Tracy’s field goal that was almost right down the middle and sent LSU players swarming onto the field to celebrate.

• Squally Canada ran for 118 yards and two touchdowns and BYU (2-1) handed mistake-prone Wisconsin (2-1) its first nonconfere­nce home loss since 2003, giving the Badgers fits with its motion offense, 24-21.

• Tua Tagovailoa threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns, Jerry Jeudy caught two scoring passes and visiting No. 1 Alabama (3-0) buried Mississipp­i, 62-7. Alabama gave up a touchdown on the first play of the SEC opener, but responded by scoring the next 62 points.

• Travis Etienne ran for 162 yards and two touchdowns for No. 2 Clemson (3-0) and Trevor Lawrence threw for 194 yards, including a 57yard score to fellow freshman Justyn Ross in their first meeting with Georgia Southern (2-1) of the Sun Belt Conference, which ended in a 38-7 victory for the Tigers.

• Kyler Murray threw for 348 yards and three touchdowns and visiting No. 5 Oklahoma (3-0) held off Iowa State (0-2), 37-27, in the Big 12 opener for both teams.

• Jalen Elliott knocked the ball loose from Vanderbilt receiver Kalija Lipscomb with 1:07 remaining to give host No. 8 Notre Dame (3-0) a fourth-down stop and a 22-17 victory. Vanderbilt is 2-1.

• Taylor Cornelius ran for two touchdowns and passed for another to help host No. 24 Oklahoma State (3-0) beat No. 17 Boise State (21), 44-21. Justice Hill ran for 123 yards and a touchdown, and Tylan Wallace had five catches for 105 yards for the Cowboys.

• Shea Patterson threw three touchdown passes to Donovan Peoples-Jones, helping host No. 19 Michigan (2-1) pull away to beat SMU (0-3), 45-20.
