Police are investigating an incident where a Lorain woman says she was robbed Sept. 19 at gunpoint in her home.

Officers responded to the 2900 block of McKinley Street where she told officers she was robbed at 11:45 a.m., according to a Lorain police report.

The woman told officers she was asleep and a knock at the front door woke her up. She said she was met by two men and one pointed a gun at her head, according to the report.

The gunman was a light skinned black man in his 20s, thin build, facial hair, had a tattoo “RIP FRAN” on forearm and donned a green shirt and black pants, the report said.

The second suspect also was a light skinned black male, also in his 20s, thin build and wore a black/ white striped shirt, the report said.

The victim said the two suspects pushed their way in and closed the door behind them.

The gunman grabbed the victim by her robe with one hand, while pointing the gun at her with his other hand.

She told police she was led through the house at gunpoint while both men asked her where her valuables were located, the report said.

The victim claimed that the suspects asked about drugs, but found nothing.

They became angry and told the victim they weren’t leaving without something, according to the report.

She gave one of the suspects her debit card along with her PIN number, the report said.

The suspects duct taped her wrists and ankles, according to the report.

She said she was forced to sit on the living room couch, while one of the suspects left the residence with the bank card.

When he returned, both men left and took the tape and her robe, the report said.

The victim waited over five hours later to call police, claiming she just left the house because she was afraid the robbers would return, according to the report. The victim told police the suspect withdrew $400 from her Chase bank account.

Both transactions were made at the Northwest Bank ATM located in lot at 3451 Colorado Ave.

An iPad and laptop valued at $400 also were missing, the report said.

A witness told officers she observed the suspects’ vehicle, possibly a blue Kia Optima, with a heavy set black male with an Afro parked at 920 Euclid Ave.

Two suspects went into the house and left 10 minutes later with a grocery bag of items, the report said.

No suspects have been identified at this time, according to the report.
