Courtyard by Marriott Cleveland to open
Courtyard by Marriott Cleveland is scheduled to open its doors in Elyria during the week of Oct. 8.
Located at 1755 Travelers Lane, the 104-room hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Sunrise Hospitality of Fremont, Ohio, according to a news release.
The hotel is near state Routes 57, 2 and the Ohio Turnpike.
The Courtyard is one of many projects in the city’s Midway Mall area that has contributed toward the vicinity’s regrowth in a $16.8 million total investment, according to Mayor Holly Brinda.
The project is a new and
wonderful addition to the city and benefits guests traveling on the nearby highways, Brinda said.
“This is a direct result of improvement of the area,” she said.
The Courtyard will feature an innovative lobby space as well as the company’s
latest contemporary room designs for working, sleeping, relaxing and getting ready, the release said.
“From day one, Courtyard has prided itself as a brand that listens to business travelers,” Callette Nielsen, vice president and global brand manager of Courtyard Marriott, said. “Today’s technology has changed how people travel. Our guests want a room that has purpose and flexibility that enables a seamless transition between relaxing and working. Courtyard is designed to offer them a relaxing and functional space to work the way they want to, when they want to.”
Signature furniture and architectural elements replace traditional art in the new guestroom.
The new design also features a light desk on wheels, allowing guests to work from anywhere in the room.
An upgraded, more spacious layout creates an enhanced bathroom experience.
A “Shower Nook” housing shampoos and towels, makes amenities accessible without having to leave the shower.
The newly designed Bistro is the epicenter of the lobby has informal seating options and offers “made to order” breakfast and dinner items, “grab and go” options, and also features an array of cocktails, beer and wine for guests to unwind at the end of the day.
The business library features several computer terminals, along with a printer and separate computer stations dedicated solely to printing airline boarding passes and checking flight status.
The four-story hotel features an indoor swimming pool, fitness center and guest laundry, and offers 1,700 square feet of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 100 people.
