Nord Center announces new board
The Nord Center announced five new board members on Oct. 25.
Joining the board in 2018, according to a news release, are: David Biegel Ph.D; Augustine L. (Tina) Gendics; Rebecca Grunick-Langer; Luc Lagasse; and Neil Lynch.
Biegel is the Henry L. Zucker Professor of Social Work Practice and professor of psychiatry and sociology at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University.
He serves as chair of the doctoral program as well as having a variety of research interests and numerous publications.
Gendics is a licensed nursing home administrator who serves as the senior executive director of post-acute services for GenaCross Lutheran Services in Toledo. She brings an extensive knowledge of healthcare, nursing and senior populations to the board.
Grunick-Langer is senior director of TouchPoint and brings extensive experience as a law partner and associate general counsel.
In addition, she has wide previous experience as a nonprofit board member.
Lagasse retired after 20 years with Johnson Controls, and seeks to share the fruits of his years of international project management and business experience with The Nord Center in working for the betterment of the community.
Lynch brings a professional background as an industrial and quality engineer including 25 years in various divisions at Nordson Corporation.
Over the last 15 years, Lynch has served as an Amherst Township trustee as well as serving as the deputy district director for U.S. Congressman Jim Jordan.
