A Lorain County jury was chosen to hear the case of the first of three defendants to stand trial in the July murder of Willie M. Fisher.

Four men and 10 women will hear the case of Patrick L. Gall, 19, of East Cleveland, who is facing a charge of aggravated murder, two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault and a single count of tampering with evidence in connection to the July 6 murder in Elyria.

The case is scheduled to begin with opening statements at 9 a.m., Nov. 13, before Lorain County Common Pleas Judge John R. Miraldi.

Fisher, 47, of Lakewood, was cleaning trash and pulling weeds near a convenience store in the 1400 block of East Avenue for Bruce Arnoff, 56, of Solon.

Arnoff is facing three counts of complicity to aggravated murder, six counts of complicity to murder, six counts of complicity to felonious assault and two counts of tampering with evidence in connection to the death.

A third man, John P. Sullivan, 30, of East Cleveland, is facing aggravated murder, two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault and single counts of tampering with evidence in connection to Fisher’s shooting death.

At 6:04 p.m., Sullivan walked to the back of the building while talking on a cellphone and then met up with Gall and pointed where he planned to hide, according to a warrant connected to the case.

Sullivan then went into the woods nearby.

Gall and Fisher were observed on the footage walking around the business at 6:09 p.m. toward the area where Sullivan was hiding, the warrant says.

The shooting occurred at 6:11 p.m.

Gall is being held on a $2 million bond, Arnoff on a $2.03 million bond, and Sullivan on a $2.5 million bond at the Lorain County Jail.

Sullivan is scheduled for a pretrial Nov. 7 and court dates currently are unavailable for Arnoff.
