Lorain County Metro Parks holds class and art show for local residents
The Lorain County Metro Parks is giving local residents the chance to display their paintings in an art show.
“Every month we have a change and we have the November art up that will continue into December,” said Vanessa Klesta, public information officer for the parks.
“We have art here from the teacher, Joyce Bolte,” she added. “Joyce does a good job of instruction and helping students through the process of creating works of art. We then display them here at the Carlisle Reservation and allow them to be sold.”
A maximum of 40 framed pieces can be displayed in the Art Gallery, according to a release sent out by the Metro Parks.
The Art Gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, excluding major holidays.
The Metro Parks also requests that a list of artwork and their individual values to be submitted no later than the first day of your Art Show.
Artwork may be sold, but must remain in place until completion of the show.
The Lorain County Metro Parks does not handle any sales. Therefore, the artist’s business cards, price list, or short autobiography should be made available to visitors. The parks does not charge an admission fee for any Art Show.
The next Patterns of Nature in Watercolor class is Nov. 17. Participants must pre register and pay $30 by Nov. 15. For information, call 440-458-5121, visit Carlisle Reservation at 12882 Diagonal Road in LaGrange or visit metroparks.cc.
