The Country Down Home store will offer Black Friday specials along with goods from local vendors.

A new Amherst business, J&B Country Down Home Store, just opened its doors in early November and the owners are welcoming guests to get in the Holiday spirit Nov. 23 with a Black Friday Snack & Shop event.

The Country Down Home store, 46130 Telegraph Road, will offer Black Friday specials along with goods from local vendors from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Vendors will offer a variety of their products for two hours each throughout the event, said Jessica Smith, co-owner of J&B Country Down Home Store.

A magician will appear to entertain youngsters as the adults shop, as well as members of the U.S. Marines, who will collect items for Toys for Tots, Smith said.

Guests will be provided finger snacks as they shop around.

Smith said they are hosting the event to not only bring people into their store and help local vendors get noticed, but to provide an easier opportunity for shoppers to shop.

“It’s just a fun way for people to shop and not have to be in a horrible crowd (on Black Friday),” she said.

The Country Down Home Store will offer its products such as hunting supplies, patriotic knickknacks, blankets, outdoor decorations, children trinkets and more.

Vendors will provide products such as Tupperware, books, lighted bottles, SeneGence cosmetics and others.

Smith said the shopping experience can provide something for everyone in a more comfortable and less chaotic Black Friday shopping experience.
