Local talent graces Metro Parks visitor center
The Lorain County Metro Parks Carlisle Visitor Center is displaying an art show by local artists during the holiday season.
“We usually switch our art show each month, but this time, we will continue to display some of these great works into the December month,” said Vanessa Klesta, public information officer for the metro parks. “It gives more time for people to come out and see some truly amazing art.”
Klesta said a local art teacher presides over the art show.
“We have art here from the teacher, Joyce Bolte, of Grafton,” she said. “Joyce does a good job of instruction and helping students through the process of creating works of art.
“We then display them here at the Carlisle Reservation and allow them to be sold.”
Klesta said the different styles are well represented.
“Artists each have their own approach, and you see that here,” she said. “They all do a great job.
“Artists also put the price on the paintings allowing them to be sold. We only handle the displaying at the Metro Parks and the transaction is something the two parties have to set up on their own, but I’m glad we can help local artists by providing the space.”
For information on the art show, call 440-458-5121, visit Carlisle Reservation at 12882 Diagonal Road in Lagrange or visit metroparks.cc.
