Lake Erie Crushers team searches for new naming rights partner

- Staff report

The Lake Erie Crushers, presented by Mercy Health, announced Feb. 6 it is looking a new stadium naming rights partner for the 2020 season and beyond, according to a news release. The Avon facility located at 2009 Baseball Blvd. will become available for a new name at the end of 2019. “Sprenger has been a great partner for the past three seasons, and they continue to support the organization,” said Crushers coowner Tom Kramig. “We understand their decision and look forward to locating a new naming rights partner as soon as possible.” Sprenger Health Care also thanked the Crushers for the opportunity to grow their brand locally in partnering together. “The Lake Erie Crushers have been a fantastic marketing partner with us the last three years during our naming rights agreement for Sprenger Stadium,” said Michael Sprenger, owner and COO of Sprenger Healthcare Systems. “Tom Kramig, Matt Moos and the whole Lake Erie Crushers team have been very responsive, accommodating and forward thinking during our partnership. “The prime signage location right on (Interstate 90) has been a very positive influence on our brand recognition locally and regionally.” The facility hosts 48 Lake Erie Crushers games a year in addition to dozens of local events, the release said. “With nearly 200 events annually, our location on I-90 and more than 125,000 people visiting the ballpark, the advertising value of the naming rights deal is outstanding,” Kramig said. The stadium opened in 2009 for the Crushers inaugural season, in which they won the Frontier League championship. It originally was known as All-Pro Freight Stadium, however, the Sprenger Health Care Organization purchased the naming rights in 2017. The city of Avon owns the facility and the Crushers leases it. Interested parties may contact Kramig at 440934-3636 or tkramig@lakeeriecrushers.com for more information regarding the naming rights opportunity.
