JVS students showcase skills at Great Big Home + Garden Show

Students from the Lorain County JVS Masonry Trades and Landscape & Greenhouse Management programs came together to design, build and arrange their display at the Cleveland’s Great Big Home + Garden Show. Masonry Trades junior students designed and built a flower garden brick wall display, and the Landscape & Greenhouse Management senior students designed the floral layout and planted the flowers for the display. Bailey Zorn, Landscape & Greenhouse Management senior from Keystone, said that the opportunity was amazing. “Being able to go out to the IX Center and work on the display, instead of being on the other side of it and looking at the displays, was really cool,” said Zorn. Zorn went to the show on opening night with his family and was excited for them to see the work him and his classmates did. “I am really proud of our display. I think it turned out amazing,” Zorn said. All of the students who participated are listed below by their associate school. The Great Big Home + Garden Show runs through Feb. 10 at Cleveland’s IX Center.
