JVS Culinary students receive high honors at regional competition
Students from the Lorain County JVS Culinary Academy recently participated in the regional competition of Family Career & Community Leaders of America held on the campus of Lorain County Community College. Culinary Arts senior instructor Chef Tim Michitsch shared what an outstanding job all of the students did at the competition. “These students worked very hard to prepare for this competition and they all should be proud of their exceptional performances,” he said. The names of the students and their competition events are listed below by the student’s associate school district.

Sierra Baker (Culinary Arts senior) received a silver medal in the Culinary Team Event; Katie Brunecz (Culinary Arts junior) received a silver medal in the Culinary Team Event; Briana Fantauzzi (Culinary Arts senior) received a silver medal in the Culinary Team Event; Owen Polly (Culinary Arts senior) received a silver medal in the Culinary Team Event; Megan Rataj (Culinary Arts junior) received a silver medal in the Culinary Team Event
