• Andrew Roesch (Avon) had five tackles, including three for loss, in Mount Union’s 66-14rout of Rose-Hulman. • Visiting Kalamazoo kicked a field goal early in the fourth quarter, then held off late charge from Oberlin to beat the Yeomen, 3-0. Oberlin (0-1) recovered a fumble at Kalamazoo’s 36 with 2minutes, 13seconds remaining. But Kalamazoo intercepted a Chris Allen Jr. pass in the end zone with 26seconds left and ran out the clock.

• Senior Marvelle Ross caught five passes for 50 yards and rushed twice for 59yards as Notre Dame College (1-0) piled up 365 yards in total offense in a 33-10victory over visiting Concord

• A.J. Miller passed for 346 yards and two touchdowns, and visiting Baldwin Wallace opened with a 31-14victory over Alma.

• Kenny Pickett passed for a career-high 321yards, including a 74-yard touchdown to Maurice Ffrench, to lead host Pittsburgh (1-0) to a 20-10win over Ohio (1-1). Pickett completed 26 of 37passes and looked far more comfortable against the Bobcats.

• Matthew Trickett’s 43yard field goal lifted host Kent State to a 26-23 come-from-behind overtime victory against Kennesaw State.

• Tyler Johnston III passed for 319yards and four touchdowns, including a 76-yarder to MyronMitchell, and UAB held off host Akron, 31-20, in the programs’ first gridiron meeting.

• Brett Gabbert’s two short touchdown runs and Bart Baratti’s interception return for a score powered a breakaway second quarter as Miami (Ohio) rolled over visiting Tennessee Tech, 48-17.
