Comments on Trump’s mental health go too far

-

Jonah Goldberg is quitting his day job and joining Steve Hayes who is already unemployed after the Weekly Standard shut down. They plan to form a full time Trump-bashing outlet. Meanwhile, the Morning Journal continues to spend our hard earned subscription money to buy and print his drivel. Pity.

In his 8/30/19 opinion, Jonah now thinks he is some sort of professional psycho-analyst that can judge people’s mental competence from afar – in this case, President Trump. Jonah’s observations might be amusing except that he is analyzing the mental competence of the duly elected president of the United States as follows:

“Few fries shy of a happy meal. Cheese might have slid off his cracker. Personal best in whackadoodle, President’s wheel might still be turning, but the hamster’s dead. West wing’s nurse accidentally switched Trump’s meds for M&Ms. Violating the shibboleths? Not normal for a functioning adult. About his instability. Bat-guano bonkers. He needs some new enemy to brace against, and he’s flailing around in search of one. That makes him appear wobblier than before, but he’s exactly as unbalanced as he’s always been.”

I guess this silliness satisfies some sort of need of the NeverTrumpers, but the level of disrespect violates acceptable limits and editorial standards – if such still exist.

Regarding Trump’s order to move companies out of China by declaring an emergency, many experts seem to think the president does not have that power.

But he does have the power to up the tariffs to the point where it is no longer profitable to manufacture in China.

More importantly, Trump’s objective is plain and clear: bring manufacturing back to the U.S.

And he is being successful in that regard.

Regarding Trump’s mental health, the last exam by Dr. Ronny Jackson found our president to be sound in mind and body.

I’ll wait for the next exam by a trained professional to see if there has been any change, “Dr.” Jonah Goldberg’s opinions notwithstanding. Don Race New London
