Partners With Paws planning Raffle to the Rescue fundraiser

Partners With Paws of Lorain County, Inc. announces a 2020 “Raffle To The Rescue” with proceeds to benefit homeless animals in and around Lorain County.

This year, one winner will receive $1,000 in gold coins in a black pot at the end of a rainbow on Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17, said a news release.

The grand prize has been donated by Joe and Donna Suerth of Suerth Financial Services in Elyria.

Between now and March 16, tickets can be purchased for a donation of $10 per ticket, the release said.

When 10 tickets are purchased for a donation of $100, the amount it takes to rescue one dog from our local dog kennel, the individual will be entered in a special drawing to win a clean crisp $100 bill, donated by Ted Majka Floor & Wall Covering in Lorain.

Drawings for both the $1,000 grand prize and the $100 bonus prize will be held on March 17 at 1:30 p.m. at Smitty’s Place, 368 E. Bridge St. in Elyria, said the release.

This will take place during the annual St. Patty’s Day live remote broadcast from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with Radio Station WOBL, 107.7FM/1320AM.

Winners do not need to be present and will be notified by phone, the release said.

Tickets can be purchased by mailing a check or money order payable to and sent to Partners With Paws, P.O. Box 277, Oberlin, OH 44074.

Tickets are also available at WOBL/WDLW Radio, 45624 US Route 20 in Oberlin.

Please note donation receipts are not issued for raffle fundraiser­s, the release said.

All proceeds will benefit Partners With Paws of Lorain County, Inc. as they financiall­y assist other local animal rescue groups.
