Bay police seek person who hit man
Bay Village police said a 52-year-old Westlake man was struck by a vehicle while walking his dog April 1.
Bay Village officers responded at 9:14 p.m. for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the area of Aberdeen Avenue and Cahoon Road.
The man was walking his dog south on the sidewalk when a north-bound vehicle struck him and the dog before driving off, according to a Bay Village police news release.
Police searched the area but could not find the suspect nor suspect vehicle.
Bay Village firefighters transported the man to Saint John Westshore Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, the release said.
The dog was not seriously injured and was able to make it home.
The victim could not provide a good description of the vehicle.
Bay Village police are asking anyone who has any information to call 440871-1234.
Lorain police search for Subway robbers
The Lorain Police Department is looking for help in identifying two individuals who broke into the South Lorain Subway on March 18.
According to a Lorain police Facebook post, two individuals with dark hoodies and pants entered the store, 2217 E. 42nd St., at 12:30 a.m.
In two videos that can be found at Lorain County CSI Facebook page, two people hopped over the counter and took an unknown amount of items before leaving.
