Judy A. Martin

-

Judy A. Martin (nee Ralston), age 67, of Lorain, passed away on May 1, 2020, after a long illness.

She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on November 26, 1952. Judy and her family moved to Ohio at an early age. She was a 1971 graduate of Admiral King High School.

She was employed at U.S. Steel for many years until she medically retired.

Judy was known to have a spunky spirit and to be a ‘sharp’ dresser. She loved spending time with family, watching movies, and shopping. Judy loved life and she loved Jesus, (“the love of her life”). She answered the call to minister and teach, which she did with a real passion for the Word of God and the souls she ministered to. She was a member of Cathedral of Praise Worship & Family Center, Lorain, Bishop Melvin L. Brown, Pastor. She served on the church’s ministerial staff, but her heartbeat was “going out into the highways and hedges and compel men to come….”

Judy leaves to mourn her passing two brothers, James (Patricia) Ralston and Kenneth “Kenny” Ralston; grandchildren, Trey, Alex, Charles, Aleah, India, and Kristen; great-grandchildren, Addy and Jordan; a goddaughter, Sienna; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Martin; her son, Charles L. Ralston; her father, James Ralston Sr.; mother, Annie L. Avant; and stepfather, Alex Avant; and sister, Vicky Ralston Oniel.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a private family service was held Monday, May 4th. The family will provide notification if a future memorial service is planned.

Arrangements entrusted to Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave., Lorain, OH.
