Folks who are in need of flowers, but aren’t too sure what they should get or how the arrangement will look, should visit Enchanted

Florist.

The flower shop located at 109 Public Square, in the heart of downtown LaGrange, carries a variety of flowers and arrangements curated by a specialist.

“I reopened when the governor allowed (May 5),” said Rachel

LaFleur, owner of the shop, talking about closing for the novel coronavirus. “It was an interesting time.

“It allowed me the time to rearrange the shop a little and do certain things. But, I’m glad it’s over.”

LaFleur said she has some items other than flowers in the shop.

“It’s really everything for flower needs, and we do have some other things,” she said. “I do have some other gifts.

“I have some team spirit things themed for Keystone (Wildcats). I added in some other things as a way to add on to the flowers and personalize the arrangement.”

LaFleur said customers can make special requests for flowers.

“Right now, I have standard carnations, daisies and lilies,” she said. “On special request, we can get about any flower like garden roses and orchids.

“For us, carnations are the number one seller because they are long lasting.”

LaFleur said she helps customers who may not have not known exactly what they want.

“People come in and ask for certain things that relate to the arrangement they want,” she said. “If you haven’t been to a florist before, I’ll help you pick out what you want.

“People can describe the color they want, a general idea of what they want and a price point. I take that information and curate it from there. I pretty much do anything anyone wants. I take someone’s inspiration and go from there to make it original.”

LaFleur said Enchanted Florist also has candy bouquets.

“It’s a few large candy bars that are arranged similarly to a flower arrangement,” she said. “It has candy bars in a vase, and it looks really great. It has a similar feel to a typical flower arrangement. But, it’s perfect for someone that may not love flowers as much.”

LaFleur said the community is very supportive of Enchanted Florist.

“It has been very good since we’ve been back,” she said. “The community has been very supportive.

“The sales have actually been up since we’ve been back open as a way to help us get back on our feet. There are a lot of repeat people. So, I do remember what people like, and it’s got that friendly atmosphere.”
