Agency hosts Pay it Forward fundraiser for Father’s Day

United Way of Greater Lorain County is hosting a virtual fundraiser for Father’s Day.

By making a donation to the United Community Assistance Network (UCAN) Community Collaborative, you’ll have the option to choose from a selection of five eCards to share, according to a news release.

“We know folks are always looking for meaningful ways to show gratitude to important people in their life,” said United Way of Greater Lorain County’s marketing and engagement director Ashley Renée Hampson. “By making a Pay it Forward donation in honor of a father figure in your life this year, you can show that gratitude and support another family who is overcoming a really tough time in their life.”

All proceeds will support

UCAN, a community collaborative powered by United Way of Greater Lorain County that provides yearround emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities and other basic needs, the release said.

The UCAN Community Collaborative is playing a key role in helping hardworking families overcome a financial crisis resulting from the novel coronavirus pandemic, according to the release.

The Pay it Forward initiative also offers more general eCards to send to important people in your life at uwloraincounty.org/payitforward, the release said.
