Early Learning Center named Hall of Fame School

The Hall of Fame School award recognizes schools that engage faculty, students and the community to provide a quality school experience, the release said.

The Avon Early Learning Center in the Avon Local School District recently was selected as a 2020 Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators Hall of Fame School.

The Early Learning Center houses the district’s kindergartners and Avon Soaring Little Eagles Preschool program through the Educational Service Center of Lorain County, according to a news release.

The Hall of Fame School award recognizes schools that engage faculty, students and the community to provide a quality school experience, the release said.

The school staff submitted an extensive application documenting the effectiveness of their educational program in several areas.

Hall of Fame Schools were selected by committees of Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators.

Exemplary educational programs that go above and beyond meeting the needs of students in elementary and middle level schools across the state are recognized annually through the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators Hall of Fame School Recognition Program.

This award has been distributed since 1984.

The Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators will recognize winners of the Hall of Fame Award during the group’s Professional Conference from June 16-18, 2021.

Early Learning Center Principal Colleen Mudore will receive the award, including $1,000, to use at her discretion, according to the release.

“I am beyond privileged to work with such a dedicated group of educators that invest their all every day to make sure our littlest eagles soar,” Mudore said. “We not only have an amazing team, but we are a family and each and every person that walks into our door is an important part of that family.

“The staff, students and Avon families make our building an amazing place to be, and I am grateful that others recognize what a great learning environment we have at the (Avon Early Learning Center).”
