Schools showcase efforts nationally
Avon Local School District hosted a virtual visit Oct. 23 with state and national education officials, highlighting the district’s efforts in improving student achievement and managing the needs of students during the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Avon was visited by Frank Brogan, assistant secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education for the U.S. Department of Education, and Ohio Superintendent of Public Instruction Paolo DeMaria.
Brogan is visiting schools across the country in person and virtually.
