Officers responded at 1:32 a.m. to the Dirt and Grime Motorcycle

Club, 208 W. Eighth St., for a shooting, according to a Lorain police report.

Upon arrival, officers learned Tolento and the other suspect, approached two active club members who were standing outside near the entrance door.

Tolento and the other man pulled firearms from their waistbands and began shooting into the direction of the two club members standing outside, the report said.

The members fled into the club without being harmed.

Tolento and his accomplice continued firing the weapons into the building and the metal exterior door, the report said.

Numerous holes were located on the front of the building, but none entered the interior.

Assisting officers located 9 mm and 45-caliber casings on the road and on sidewalk in front of the club, according to the report.

Earlier, an officer had made a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle, a black Dodge Charger, in the area of East Erie Avenue and Florida Avenue about 30 minutes before the initial call.

The officer did not know about the Charger’s relation to the incident and the vehicle, which was occupied by both men, was released, the report said.

He was detained and possessed a magazine that had a bullet matching the shell casings found at the club, the report said.

No firearm was located, but police found a live round on the rear floor, near the passenger seat.

Tolento was taken to Lorain County Jail where he will remain pending an appearance in Lorain Municipal Court.

Police also learned the other suspect was at the club earlier in the night.

Detectives are trying to determine why Tolento and the other man returned and discharged their weapons, the report said.
