COACH OF THE YEAR

-

Fairview

At the beginning of the season, it was anyone’s guess how the season would go for Fairview. In addition to having to deal with the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic, the Warriors lost their No. 3 runner Allen Meriga in the offseason after his family moved to Florida. Even with that, Fairview’s season ended at the final meet of the year, a testament to Dahler’s ability to get her runners to buy in. Led by seniors Nolan Krumhansl and Ben Osborne, the Warriors earned the sixth and final state qualification at the Boardman Regional before finishing 19th as a team at state.
