Man allegedly fires gun into Lorain home, flees
A Bedford man is facing multiple felony charges for allegedly firing a gun into a house and fleeing from police Jan. 19.
Gino Harris-Comer, 35, was charged with felonious assault and improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation, both second-degree felonies, having weapons under disability, a third-degree felony, carrying concealed weapons, receiving stolen property, failure to comply with officer commands and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, all fourth-degree felonies, according to a Lorain police report.
At 8:23 p.m., officers were sent to a house in the 900 block of West Seventh Court for shots fired. The victim told officers she was ending her relationship with Harris-Comer.
He went to the Lorain residence and an argument ensued about the relationship ending, the report said.
Harris-Comer took a deep fryer, filled with oil and threw it at a bedroom wall, the report said.
The victim then took a brick and threw it at the windshield of Harris-Comer’s GMC Terrain, according to the report.
He responded by firing a pistol multiple times through the bottom portion of the threshold into the residence and fled the area in his vehicle, the report said.
Officers followed HarrisComer in a chase that ended when he struck a Honda CRV at the intersection of Colorado and Nebraska avenues.
The couple in the Honda were transported to Mercy Health - Lorain Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Harris-Comer was not transported to a hospital.
Officers found multiple shell casings by the front door and driveway at the house on West Seventh Street.
They also discovered the gun Harris-Comer fired was stolen.
Harris-Comer is in the Lorain County Jail pending an appearance in Lorain Municipal Court.
