Lorain County vaccine clinic was well run

-

I received my second COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine yesterday (Saturday, Feb. 20) at LCCC and was very impressed with the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire process which only took a little over one hour.

Some of my personal observations:

•Entrance and Vaccine #2 Signs were prominently displayed on campus building (no one had to wait outside). Chairs were available inside for those who needed them.

•Greeters were inside door entrance.

•Checking information and giving numbers. My number was 665.

• Directing people to gym — nine lanes to guide people forward

• Next room (tennis/volleyball) — 6 stations with nurses at each station

Throughout the process, Public Health professionals were available answering questions, guiding people, checking information, assisting people, distributing information, giving injections, monitoring after injections, giving directions—all with a warm smile and compassion.

Kudos to our Lorain County Public Health professionals!! Keep up the great work!

As I glanced around the building, I noticed that 100% of the people in line were all wearing masks, observing social distancing, being friendly and patiently waiting their turn.

I believe that a good part of this positive attitude emanated from the atmosphere created by the Lorain County Public Health professionals who projected such a competent, respectful and caring attitude to all of us.

Kudos also to the security police and volunteers who also helped everyone.

My husband and I are originally from Lorain, known each other since we were 17 years old, married for over 50 years. My husband served active duty in the Air Force for over 30 years, we lived many places and decided to build a new home here about a year ago. Happy to be home.
