Ohio State Bar Association honors area attorneys for longtime service
The Ohio State Bar Association recognized March 2 area attorneys for their 50 and 65 years of service to the community and the legal profession.
50 years of service
Michael J. Scherach of Lorain has worked in private practice and public service since 1971.
Scherach has served as a Lorain County assistant prosecutor, director of law and assistant to the mayor of the city of Lorain.
He also served as an agent for the Ohio Bar Title Insurance Company from 1977 to 2015.
In his community, Scherach has served for many years as part of the Lorain Polish Fisherman’s Organization, a youth-oriented local civic and conservation group.
He received his undergraduate education at Bowling Green State University and his law degree at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Victor P. Kademenos of Sandusky is a partner at the firm of Kademenos, Wisehart, Hines, Dolyk & Wright practicing in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation.
Kademenos served as a U.S. Army captain in the Vietnam War and is an Ohio State Bar Association certified specialist in the area of workers’ compensation law.
He is a member of the Ottawa and Erie county bar associations, the Ohio Association of Justice and the Lions Club of Erie County.
Kademenos received his law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
65 years of service
David C. George of Elyria is a retired attorney and longtime solo practitioner. He received his law license in 1956.
George earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
These attorneys were recognized as part of the Ohio State Bar Association’s District 10 virtual annual meeting. District 10 includes over 900 attorneys who practice in Ashland, Erie, Holmes, Huron, Lorain, Medina, Richland and Wayne counties.
