The Morning Journal (Lorain, OH)
Ethel J. Harris
Ethel J. Harris (nee Mihalcin) was born on April 18, 1936, in Hazelton, PA. Her proud parents, Michael and Susan raised her and her five siblings in Sharon, PA. Ethel graduated from Sharon High School and eventually moved to the Cleveland area where she worked at and retired from Key Bank in Credit Authorization. She and her husband, Gerald have made their home in Avon for the past 42 years.
Ethel was an excellent housekeeper, her home was spotless. She always looked good and kept up a weekly meeting with her hairdresser. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and Toll Painting. She inherited her love of Soap Operas from her mother and watched them religiously, taping them during the day and watching them late at night. Above all, Ethel was at her best when she was with her family. She was devoted to her children but it was the grandchildren that truly made her heart leap, oh how she loved being a grandmother.
She leaves behind her husband, Gerald Harris; daughter Karen Kules, of Brookpark OH, and son Martin Zipay, of Stafford VA; her dear grandchildren, Nicole Christine and Jacob Joseph Kules, and Angela Marie and Curtis Alan Zipay; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Ethel was predeceased by her
Zipay; her parents; and siblings.
