Wayne “Bart” Keith Bartlome

Wayne “Bart” Keith Bartlome, 75 years of age, and a resident of Elyria, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born July 25, 1945 in Amherst, Ohio. Wayne was a lifetime resident of Lorain County.

Wayne was employed as a Turret Press Operator at Armstrong Air. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping and fishing. Wayne belonged to the racing community and raced alongside his family at Lorain County Speedway and Sandusky Raceways. Survivors include his children, Scott (Kim) Bartlome of Vermilion, John (Renee) Bartlome of Amherst, Matt (Theresa) Bartlome of LaGrange, Chris Lawson (Mike) of Grafton, Katie (Woody) Lock and Kari (Rob) Bartlome both of Elyria; eighteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-seven years, Linda June Bartlome (nee: Darnell) on January 15, 2013 his siblings, LeRoy (Neil) Bartlome, Norwood and Russell Bartlome,s Elaine Young, Maxine Toth and infant Evelyn; and his parents, John and Mabel Bartlome (nee: Towne).

Public visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 1:00 until the time of the funeral service at 5:00 p.m. at Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst.
