Dolores Louise Manofski (nee: Petroskey), 78 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at her home following a brief illness.

She was born October 20, 1942 in Lorain, Ohio. Amherst has been her home since 1988.

Dolores with her late husband Chris owned and operated Chris’s Restaurant in Lorain for fifty years. She was involved with St. Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Church in Avon. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmothe­r. Dolores was a very selfless woman who always put others first. She loved decorating cakes for special occasions for her friends and family. Nothing brought her greater joy than the time she spent with her family and friends, especially their trips to Disney World.

Survivors include her daughter Stephanie Danailovsk­i (Pepi) of Vermilion; her grandchild­ren Nick (fiance Melissa) and Phillip.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years Chris B. Manofski, on April 30, 2019; her sister Karen Proctor; and her parents Stanley and Angeline Petroskey (nee: Raccio).

Public visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 2:00-5:00 p.m..at Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, Ohio. Closing prayers will be held on Monday at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church; 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. Rebroadcas­ting of services will be available at http://www. hempelfune­ralhome.com/. The Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, pastor will officiate. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
