R.W. Beckett Corp. plans growth
Acquisition results in new products, 30 new jobs at manufacturing site
On July 19, R. W. Beckett Corporation, North America’s leading manufacturer of oil combustion products used in home heating, hot water pressure cleaning equipment, as well as numerous other custom commercial, and industrial applications, purchased the assets and product rights of Westwood Products, a New Jersey company, according to a news release.
R.W. Beckett will move these assets to North Ridgeville where the acquired products will be produced, the release said.
The move will require a substantial overhaul of company operations in North Ridgeville and substantial employee training to teach new and existing employees the skills required to build the newly purchased products, the release said.
The company received a $125,000 JobsOhio training grant to support the project.
R.W. Beckett will add 30 new jobs to its current North Ridgeville staff, the release said.
“We are thrilled with the opportunity to broaden our portfolio of products and bring new solutions and technologies to our customers,” said Kevin Beckett, president/CEO of the R.W. Beckett Corporation. “We are equally gratified that the partnership with JobsOhio and Team NEO has accelerated our ability to successfully create jobs and grow our investment in Northeast Ohio.“
An economic development team including JobsOhio and Team NEO collaborated with R.W. Beckett to ensure a smooth transition for relocating and growing the operation, the release said.
“We are pleased that R.W. Beckett sees the value of moving their newly-acquired assets to Northeast Ohio and that JobsOhio was able to provide a training grant to help the company meet its strategic objectives faster,” said Team NEO CEO Bill Koehler. “Along with JobsOhio and local partners, we look forward to ensuring they continue to grow and prosper in the Northeast Ohio Region.”
