Who’s on the Wilhelm watch list this week?

Leading the way this week continues to be Rocky River’s Tommy Bebie and Columbia’s Marco Cirigliano, who have both put up big numbers for their respective teams.

The Matt Wilhelm Award goes to The Morning Journal’s football player of the year.

A watch list for the top players in the area will be published each week leading up to the presentati­on of the Award.

This list is fluid and can change week to week. This list is in alphabetic­al order:

• RB Tommy Bebie, Sr., Rocky River: In a Week 2 win over Firelands, rushed for 137 yards and four touchdowns on ten carries. Also had a team-high ten tackles and a sack on defense. Through two games has scored seven touchdowns.

• RB Marco Cirigliano, So., Columbia:

In a Week 2 win over Vermilion shared the rushing load with eleven other teammates. Cirigliano led the Raiders with 58-yards. In two games has rushed for over 350-yards. • QB Jeremy Dzik, Jr., Avon Lake: In a Week 2 win over Brecksvill­e-Broadview

Heights had 227 yards and three touchdowns. On the season has completed 67-percent of his passes for five touchdowns and 476 yards.

• RB Levi Ellis, Jr., Elyria Catholic: In a Week 2 win over Perkins, rushed for 223 yards and three touchdowns in a 68-point performanc­e from the Panthers.

• RB Gavin Ehrhardt, Jr., Avon: In a Week 2loss to Medina, ran the ball for 57-yards and a touchdown.

• RB Lance Glover Jr., Jr., Elyria: In a Week 2 win over Bedford, had 28-yards rushing on 11 carries.

• ATH Kenny Grobolsek, Sr., Brookside: Brookside did not play in Week 2. In a Week 1 win over Wickliffe accounted for four touchdowns. On offense scored three rushing touchdowns on 44 yards rushing while adding 16 tackles and a strip-sack on defense. The strip-sack happened in the end zone, leading to a touchdown.

• RB Gideon Lampron, Sr.,

Keystone: Keystone did not play in Week 2. In a Week 1 win over Northweste­rn had 17 tackles, three sacks and a forced fumble to clinch a victory. On offense totaled 89 yards on 17 touches.

• QB Konner Rodick, Jr., Keystone: Keystone did not play in Week 2. In a Week 1 win over Northweste­rn completed nearly 60-percent of his passes for 316yards and five touchdowns.

• WR Ryne Shackelfor­d, Jr., Keystone: Keystone did not play in Week 2. In a Week 1win over Northweste­rn, caught six passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. Added 14 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

• WR Matthew Stuewe, Jr., Avon Lake: In a Week 2 win over Brecksvill­eBroadview Heights, caught nine passes for 152yards and two touchdowns. In two games has 18 catches from his quarterbac­k, Jeremy Dzik who is also on this list.

• RB Torre Weatherspo­on, Sr., Amherst: In a Week 2 loss to Riverside, carried the ball 17times for 113yards and a touchdown. In two games has 215yards on the ground and 125 receiving yards.
