Marilyn A. Yarsa (nee Gaydosh), age 79, of Lorain, passed away at Anchor Lodge Retirement Village, Lorain, after a lengthy illness.

She was born on May 29, 1942 in Lorain, where she has lived her entire life and graduated from Lorain High School in 1960.

She enjoyed and took great pride in her home and in being a good mother and great wife. Family was the center of her world and loved family gatherings. She was artistic and liked to draw and do needlepoin­t. She enjoyed listening to music and going to her favorite restaurant­s.

Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Ronald J. Yarsa. Children, Tammy (Tim) Manzo, of Elyria, Michelle (Sean) Fitzgerald, of Avon, Terrence and Christophe­r Yarsa, both of Lorain, 3 grandchild­ren, Catherine Mary Fitzgerald, Michael Fitzgerald, and Benjamin Manzo, and her sister, Eileen (Tom) Niemiec, of Avon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen A. and Ann (nee Demyan) Gaydosh, and her brothers, Stephen W. & Gerald P. Gaydosh.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, December 16th, from 9:30 AM until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 West 15th Street, Lorain, Ohio, 44052. The Rev. Fr. Richard Gonsar, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, is assisting the family with arrangemen­ts.
