Robert (Bob) J. Lewandowsk­i Sr., passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the age of 81.

Bob was born August 20, 1940, to Tom and Lottie Lewandowsk­i.

He pursued a career at BF Goodrich for many years, before retiring in 2004. Bob was a longtime resident of Lorain, before moving to Amherst where he resided until his passing. He was a proud member of Nativity Blessed Virgin Catholic Church in South Amherst for many years. Bob had a

shining personalit­y that showed through to everyone he met. He had a love for hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed bowling in a league with his son and grandsons, along with a good round of golf. Everyone knew what brought Bob the most joy was spending time with his twelve grandchild­ren and his four great grandchild­ren.

Bob is preceded in death by his father Thomas, and mother Lottie (Sadowski); and his sister Rose Britton.

Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Elaine Lewandowsk­i (nee: Klein); his children, Carolyn Horvath,

Jacquelyn (Tom) Findish, Robert (Lisa) Lewandowsk­i Jr. all of Amherst and Julie (Kevin) Shupe of Berlin Heights; his twelve grandchild­ren and four great grandchild­ren. Bob will forever be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Friends may call Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 12:003:00 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Closing prayers will be held Monday, Dec,

20, 2021, at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church; 333 South Lake Street, South

Amherst. The Rev. Fr. Timothy O’Connor, pastor, will officiate. Rebroadcas­ting of services will be available at www.hempelfune­ralhome.com . Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
