College sets dates for next sessions of Encore 55+ Learning
Registration for Encore 55+ Learning at Cuyahoga Community College has opened for new seven-week sessions of in-person and virtual courses.
The Winter 2022 session, which begins Jan. 25, will be entirely virtual, according to a news release. Encore On-the-Go classes will take place Tuesdays and Fridays via Webex, and the cost is $49.95 for up to three courses.
Assistance is available for those unfamiliar with Webex, and practice sessions are offered to familiarize users with the platform, the release stated.
The Spring 2022 session will offer virtual and in-person options. Encore On-the-Go’s spring session begins March 22, with virtual classes taking place on Tuesdays via Webex. The cost is $49.95 for up to three courses.
Encore Campus Fridays begins March 25, with classes taking place in person at the Eastern, Western and Westshore campuses. The cost is $99 for up to six courses at a single campus.
Courses cover a wide variety of subjects including finance, fitness, history, literature, music, philosophy, science and more, the release stated.
Encore’s Neighborhood Scholars program will also offer in-person and virtual programming this winter and spring. The schedule includes tours of local places of worship, presentations on Cleveland history and the popular Cleveland
Museum of Art series.
Most Neighborhood Scholars offerings are single-day programs with fees ranging from $10 to $24. The six-week Cleveland Museum of Art series is $79.
Tri-C will be closed Dec. 22 through Jan. 4 for Winter Break, but online registration will be available.
