Mary Ann R. Cowhard

Mary Ann R. Cowhard (Nee Gulas), age 76, on December 25, 2021, born April 2,1945, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Loving wife of Robert (Bob) Cowhard, mother of Bobby (Lori), and Darin, grandmother to Jessica Cowhard.

Sister of Donald (Carolyn) Gulas, Rose Marie Sumerauer (Erich), and Chuck (Gil Smith) Gulas.

Preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Anna Nagy Gulas. Loving aunt, godmother, great aunt, cousin and friend.

Mary Ann was a dedicated wife and mom. After her sons were grown, she continued her education and earned her Bachelors of Business Management from Christopher Newport University. Mary Ann was a proud graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High

School. She worked in retail, and banking and retired from Huntington Bank. Many of her colleagues and clients were long-time friends.

An avid fisherman, Mary Ann also enjoyed gardening, swimming, bingo, pool aerobics, casino trips, Kenny Rogers, beanie babies, NASCAR, the Cleveland Browns and beach vacations. Spending time with her family and friends was a highlight.

Mary Ann and Bob were high school sweethearts, married 57 years. Sharing coffee and a doughnut overlooking Lake Erie was a special time for them.

The family sends thanks to the nurses at the Cleveland Clinic Moll Cancer Center and the staff of the Ames House of the Hospice of the Western Reserve.

Per her wishes, the rites of cremation were awarded. There will be a celebration of her life in the spring.
