Shauna E. Mihalic (nee Wilt)

Shauna E. Mihalic (nee Wilt), age 72, of Amherst, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021.

She was born on November 22, 1949 in Altoona, PA. As a young girl, she moved to Lorain where she grew up, was a 1968 graduate of Lorain High School, and where she proceeded to live most of her life. She has resided in Amherst for the past few years.

When her mom was still living, Shauna devoted over 20 years caring for her mother until she passed away. She genuinely enjoyed helping any of her neighbors, friends, and family with any tasks needing done, especially when it came to outdoor jobs. She would almost always be found weeding her landscaping and gardens, working outside in the yard, washing her car, and doing anything that involved neatening, cleaning, and tidying. Shauna was extremely proud of her six grandchildren and loved animals, especially her dog.

She is survived by her two sons: Anthony Mihalic and Ryan (Jackie) Mihalic, both of Lorain and her grandchildren: Alyssa, Brendan, Mykenzee, Peyton, Trenton, and Tyler.

Shauna was preceded in death by her biological father, Patrick E. Wilt; her sister, Carol Albright; her brother, Patrick A. Wilt; and her step-father and mother, Lee & Edna (nee Lytle) Zigler.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 4:00 pm until the time of her funeral service at 7:00 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park
