Norma Irene Boyle

-

Our mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother left us on Christmas Eve. Norma Irene Boyle (nee Pierce) was born June 3, 1932 in West Union, West Virginia. Norma moved with her husband, William R. Heflin, to Lorain, OH in 1953 where she lived until 2010. She then moved to Elyria where she

resided with her son until the time of her passing. Norma held several jobs during her lifetime. She worked in the Broadway Building for Sun Life Insurance, modeled for Ted Jacobs clothing store, was a district manager for the Lorain Journal, and she was a dental assistant for Dr. Cyprus. Norma also taught Ballroom Dance at Mildred’s Dance Studio where she met her loving husband, James Boyle.

Norma’s first love was her family. Nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by the ones she loved the most. Some of the ways she showed the love for her family was by lending a supportive heart, a listening ear, and cooking their favorite dishes. Christmas Eve was her favorite holiday. Norma always made it beautiful and special for her family. She also loved dancing, gardening, reading, and fashion. She enjoyed donating her time selling flowers for the Cancer society and tithed to several charities, like St Jude’s. One of her favorite pastimes was traveling. She traveled through most of Europe, the Caribbean, and the United States.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Heflin Ilcisko, her son, Robert Dean Heflin, and her son-in-law Thomas Albert Ilcisko, her grandchildren: Aaron Robert Heflin (Tammy), Kyle Marie Ilcisko, Mark Edward Heflin, and Kelli Christine Sunseri (Michael), her great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Heflin, Aria Ilcisko, Layla Sunseri, and Caleb Sunseri.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hearty Dean Pierce and Pearl Pierce, her husband James Boyle, and her sister Lorraine Lines.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 3 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 12:00 p.m. at Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Ohio. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park. Masks and social distancing will be required. To send online condolences go to www.dovinfcs.com
