Elyria residents now have more choices for addiction treatment and a local “easy start” option.

BrightView, an outpatient addiction treatment program serving thousands of patients in Ohio, Kentucky, Delaware, Virginia and North Carolina, has announced the opening of a new outpatient addiction treatment center, according to a news release.

Located at 540 Griswold Road in Elyria, BrightView’s newest center provides accessible, comprehensive addiction treatment in a discreet outpatient setting, the release said.

Effective addiction treatment is increasingly important in Ohio, the release said.

The state reported a record number of overdose deaths in 2021, according to Harm Reduction Ohio.

BrightView’s programs include medication assisted treatment (MAT), individual counseling, group therapy, peer support and social services to address the full range of challenges associated with substance use disorder, the release said.

Each program is personalized to meet the goals and needs of the patient, ensuring the best chances of long-term success.

Services at BrightView’s new Elyria center are easy to access and available to hundreds of area residents.

The center accepts walkins until 3 p.m. on weekdays, offers same day appointments and accepts all insurance, according to the release.

BrightView also helps people who are uninsured get coverage, the release said.

The company’s outpatient model includes telehealth and virtual treatment options.

Patients can transform many areas of their lives by engaging with the center’s case management services to find safe housing, reliable transportation, access to food and even prepare for jobs, according to the release.

“BrightView brings resources to the communities we serve,” said Dr. Navdeep Kang, chief clinical officer at BrightView.

“Our new Elyria center means residents have a new ally that responds with a sense of urgency to give people with substance use disorder access to the highest-quality medical care available.”
