Patricia “Pat” Curry

Patricia ‘Pat’ Curry, age 69, of Lorain, transitioned from this earthly life to be eternally with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 18, 2022, in North Ridgeville, Ohio.

She was born August 11, 1952 in Lorain, Ohio and was a lifelong resident. She worked as a nurse’s aide for over 20 years. She loved spending time with her family, playing bingo and cards, listening to music, and dancing. She was known for cooking, which she loved to do.

Patricia will be sadly missed by her daughter, Alberta ‘Birdie’ (Willie) Jones; 6 grandchildren, Gregory (Desiree) Curry of Savannah GA, Ebony Curry of Lorain, Mehki Curry of Lorain, Pamela Massey of Springfield MO, Alandria Sanford-Curry of Elyria, and Allen Sanford of Lorain; 20 great grandkids; 4 sisters, Mary Hitchens-West, Mattie Curry, Devonia Curry, all of Lorain, and Donna Curry of Columbus OH; an aunt, Dorothy Nicholson of Carbondale IL, and other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her sons, William Curry and Thomas Curry; a grandson, William Anthony Kelson; her companion of 35 years, Allen ‘Killer’ McCown; her parents, John Curry and Helen (nee Smith) Curry; siblings, Henry Curry and William ‘Pete’ Curry; a niece, Janice Hitchens, and a nephew, Henry Dewayne Curry; maternal grandparents, Edgar and Ora Smith; 7 aunts, Eda Curry, Bay Curry, Annie Pearl Gardner, LaVera Mitchell, Glenda Blakemore, Vernell Richardson and Verbe Harris; 5 uncles, Joe Smith, Sr., George Smith, William Smith, Edgar Smith, Jr., and Raymond Smith.

Family and friends may call on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 5pm until time of funeral service at 6pm at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3900 Clifton Ave, Lorain OH 44055.
