Serving Northeast Ohio since 1931, the law firm of O’Toole McLaughlin Dooley and Pecora, 5455 Detroit Road in Sheffield Village, has announced its expansion and name change effective Aug. 15, according to a news release.

The firm, which now will be known as Dooley Gembala McLaughlin Pecora, has enjoyed steady growth over the past 90 years as a result of its steadfast commitment to a wide ranging client base, including businesses, manufacturers, government agencies and utilities, and likewise to the dedicated domestic relations, estate planning, asset protection and employee advocacy practice groups that serve individuals in this community, the release said.

Dooley Gembala’s commitment to growth and advocacy is most importantly reflected in its expansion, which includes four new attorneys, including three women and partners Carmen Verhosek and Gayle Reeves, according to the release.

Verhosek’s and Reeves’ practices are dedicated to the elder law space, specializing in issues that affect the aging population, including planning for optimal autonomy regarding quality of care and asset preservation, the release said.

“I could not be more thrilled to bring my 20 plus years of experience as a zealous advocate for elder adults, persons with disabilities and their families to one of the most prestigious firms in Lorain County during such exciting time of growth,” Verhosek said.

“I’m honored to be part of a firm with such a rich history, and excited to help guide its future successes,” Ryan Gembala said. “Following in the footsteps of its predecessors, the team at Dooley Gembala remains committed to exceptional client service and positive client outcomes.”

“While the firm name is changing, Dooley Gembala’s reputation for advocacy and passion for service is not,” said Matthew Dooley. “We look forward to serving all our clients with innovative strategies and ideas for many years to come.”
