Blake A. Morgan

Blake A. Morgan, age 74, of Carlisle Township, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

He was born on September 9, 1948 in Lorain, where he lived most of his life and is a 1966 graduate of Lorain High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving for 4 years before his honorable discharge in 1970. After his honorable discharge, he went to work for Ford Motor Company in their Lorain plant, as an assembler & inspector, finally retiring from there after 30 years.

Blake enjoyed being a member of the Lorain American Legion Post 30 and his younger years, he enjoyed golfing and bowling. Blake was also an avid sports fan, especially for high school sports. Above anything though, he was dedicated and devoted to his beloved grandkids.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Myra J. (Boettcher); sons, Eric (Amy) Morgan and Bret (Jennifer) Morgan, both of Elyria; grandchildren, Tate Morgan, Quinn Morgan, Harper Morgan, Dane Morgan, Sierra Smith, Madison Morgan, Grayson Morgan, and Branson Morgan; great granddaughter, Esme Morgan; and his sister, Lynn (Mel) Goodwin, of Amherst.

Blake was preceded in death by his parents, Chester & Pearl (nee Breeden) Morgan, and his brother, Dale Morgan.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 6:00 pm until the time of his memorial service at 7:00 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. One of Blake’s wishes was that a big party be thrown for him, so the family is inviting friends and family to join them on Wednesday, November 9th, for a celebration of his life.
