Outlook: offense

The Huskies will feature a revamped offense coming off a 3-7 campaign and the loss of five senior starters. Cardinal returns three starters on offense. Coach Eric Cardinal is looking for stability on the offensive line as the Huskies only bring back one starter in right tackle Austin Klatik. The 6-foot-1, 225-pound senior will be the cornerstone of the line. 280-pound senior Jesse McCormick will flank him at left tackle, and the first-time starter has promising size. If the line can provide consistent protection, Cardinal believes he has some talent at the skill positions. Senior Kyle Simms ran for 700 yards in six games after he moved from quarterback to running back last season. Junior Hayden Cummins returns at tight end.
